This is a photography project done on Roddur's activity in Sundarbans, a vast mangrove forest located in the delta region, straddling the border between Bangladesh and the Indian state of West Bengal. It is the largest tidal halophytic mangrove forest in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The activity involved the educational upliftment and bring back the childhood fun to the children from the financially backward families of that area and strengthen the path of their bright future.
Roddur is working for the people & with the people.
They are working with different experimental work in the cultural side. Roddur is a platform where one can regain his/her identity with their efficiency & practice. Productions & environment of Roddur is a fresh air for humans.
They are also working against the difficult situation to give comfort others which creates smile for “Roddur”. It helps them to think about development of education & health system as per requirement of the society within their limit. Giving support for medicines & doctors to the needy people in the rural area & education for the child are two main thinking for “Roddur” along with providing relief in natural calamities and emergencies, if any. “Roddur” also interested to continue work with Transgender community.
Roddur works principally in two areas, one is cultural and another is social sector.
Cultural - Roddur started its journey with experimental Audio Drama, but then flared its activities in presenting experimental musical productions. It has produced several path breaking Audio Drama which earned accolades of the critics.
Social - Roddur started its Social Service activities as a call for humanity during the pandemic situation. Roddur felt to do something for the effected people during lockdown and carried out its good work for people heat by catastrophic natural calamities like Amphan and Yaas Cyclone.
